  6. Pokemon Set of the Day: Chansey @ Eviolite Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe Calm Nature - Thunder Wave - Soft-Boiled - Heal Bell - Seismic TossI guess you could say that the set I use for Chansey is a pretty standard one. I don't feel the need to explain because it is very basic but just in case, here it goes. Thunder wave for support to slow targets down. Soft boiled to be annoying and gain health back. Heal Bell just incase someone wants to be funny and ring a status. Seismic Toss because what other damaging move is good for Chansey? I really enjoy using Chansey tbh..
  7. Pokemon of the day: #92 Gastly My Rating: 3.5 Its not that I don't like gastly its just that I like soooooo many more ghost type pokemon than just gastly. At least talking in first stages. I love gengar and if the Pokemon of the day was gengar it would be around an 8. But that weird mass of gas is definatly not a gengar. I waas never fond of gastly's design as a kid and growing up, it hasn't changed. The purple "gas" I guess, that floats around gastly was a huge mystery on how that stayed in one spot and didn't blow in the wind. Also the eyes...the terrible eyes. Gastly kinda reminds me of a floating marble. It puts in work from what I've seen in LC. Im just not to fond of gastly
  8. Psst, if you've been wondering why the mega thread's been dead, Beartic has already been done, so changing it might be the optimal idea. Or maybe you wanna keep Beartic since the rules explicitly say you can make 2 megas of one Pokemon. c:

I wasn't wondering but thanks. I'll change it.

Sorry, that sort of a rude move, saying that and not doing it, xD. But I'm on it right now, and good choice.

  9. Pokemon Set of the Day: Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite Ability: Pixilate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Hyper Beam - Shadow Ball / Energy Ball - Will-O-Wisp - Psychic When i use gardevoir, I leave no room for mercy! I like to use all out attacks and try to overwhelm my opponent with the amazing power that is MEGA GARDEVOIR. First off I use hyper Beam/ Pixilate because it is amazingly strong and will almost always kill a pokemon it hits normally effective or super effective. Next Shadow ball and Psychic are for coverage. I also sometimes do energy ball. Will-o-wisp is to cripple any physically offensive mons that give my team an issue. I love gardevoir because of its power and I use if frequently.
  10. Pokemon of the day: #34 Nidoking My Rating: 10 Can I even really say anything bad about Nidoking? I'm really trying to think of some stuff to critique about but I'm sure some other people will have that covered. Ever since my first run through of pokemon leaf green, I've always been motivated of finding that one lucky patch of grass that had nidoran in it just so maybe one day i would have a Nidoking. I adore its design, being that it is a monster. It has evolved well over the years of pokemon and Im glad to see they didn't change to much with its sprite. Nidoking is also one of my favorite pokemon to use competitivly. Sheer force is a hard ability to manage if your against it so when your up against a special Nidoking with all out attacks, be careful! Anyways. Thats all I want to say about this beautiful beast of a pokemon.

  12. Heyy! So this topic will kinda be like the Daily pokemon opinions forum except this time instead of posting why we like a particular pokemon we will post a set we use with this pokemon commonly. You must also explain a little bit about the set. I will be using a randomizer to choose the pokemon each day. I will try to keep up with it as much as possible! Thanks! Rules 1.) Must include pokemon's name 2.) Must include Ability 3.) Must include help item 4.) Must include move set 5.) Must include EVs 6.) You can post nature if you would like but its not necessary EXAMPLE Chatot @ Life Orb Ability: Tangled Feet EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Boomburst - Defog / Tailwind - U-turn / Roost - Chatter Pokemon Set of the Day: Chansey @ Eviolite Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe Calm Nature - Thunder Wave - Soft-Boiled - Heal Bell - Seismic Toss I guess you could say that the set I use for Chansey is a pretty standard one. 10/12 - Chatot 10/13 - Gardevoir10/14 - Chansey
  13. Pokemon of the day: #317 Swalot (Origin of the Duck Face) My Rating: 8 I really do enjoy swalot for an abundance of reasons. The first time I used Swalot was during my first playthrough of pokemon sapphire So I have a few emotional connections to swalot. Although i'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me on this, I actually kinda view Swalot as a "cute pokemon". Yeah...just something about the way it moves and the way its hands are next to it just give it a cuteness about it...Anyways...Purple is one of my favorite colors and so is black which is feature in Swalots design. Something I don't like about Swalot is the yellow mustache things. Like, what are those seriously..? I really like using Swalot competitivly because no one expects to see a Swalot which means you can basically do anything although I like Rest, sleep Talk, Stockpile, Sludge wave. Yeah so swalot is one of my favorite pokemon and is definatly in my top 50. Rock on you cute blob of poison.
  14. Accelgor Type: Bug/Fighting Ability: Stance Change Stat Changes Attack Form: Hp 80 | Atk 90 (+20) | Def 55 (+15) | Sp Atk 135 (+35) | Sp Def 65 (+5) | Spd 175 (+30) Stat Changes Defense Form: HP 80 | Atk 40 (-30) | Def 120 (+80) | Sp Atk 70 (-30) | Sp Def 150 (+90) | Spd 95 (-50) My vision for Accelgor is that he becomes a ninja bug warrior. I can't remember what game it was from, but a long time ago there was a game I played and it had a giant boss that was a praying mantis ninja. Accelgor could pull of an amazing design based off a ninja. Now talking about the ability. Stance change! One of the coolest abilities introduced in generation 6. We haven't seen much of it so giving a mega pokemon stance change is a great opportunity for pokemon to grow. Accelgor could benifit many ways from stance change. It could become a defensive monster when it needs too or turn into a completely terrifyingly good sweeper. Great moves such as Bug Buzz, energy ball, focus blast, sludge bomb, giga drain, knock off, or return let it hit hard and be a great sweeper. Coupled with its high speed, it can take almost any pokemon out within a feel rounds. Now onto the more defensive side. Accelgor gets several moves to pair with the high defenses above. Recover, Protect, Substitute, encore, and many more give Accelgor many opportunities. Plus it has many set up moves such as agility, curse, acid armor. Next pokemon is Terrakion
  15. Pokemon of the day: #414 Mothim My Rating: 3 Ahh one of the most forgotten pokemon. I'm sorry if Mothim is one of someone's favorite pokemon but lets be real. It's terrible. The only half-way appealing thing about it is that it's wings are cute. Other than that...not much. Its face is terrible designed and frankly put, ugly. The insect feelers coming from its nose to its head appear odd and give a strange feeling about it. Its body is petite and cute but the anteneas contrast so poorly with the rest of the face. The eyes, trying to morph with the anteneas I assure, are hard to look at. In competitive talk, this pokemon is unheard of. There are many other pokemon that can do much more things that this pokemon. Its so far underclassed it should be placed in a PU 2 tier. Can we make that a thing? Anyways. Sorry for beating you up Mothim. The redeaming qualities are that it is a moth and moths are cool. Its wings are pretty nice in contrast to the body. And...thats about it.
